The only thing I noted was that if you dont use the provided cushion strips, HDD might go here and there within the unit, especially when you carry it around.

In a world where [almost] everything is made in China, this item is "not your grandfather's 'made in China'". I was surprised by the quality of the parts and the fit and finish once it was put together. It all snaps together perfectly, and has no gaps or rattling parts.Very well built. Another thing I noticed was that the packaging was of very high quality. It was just thrown in a plastic bag, there was a nice cardboard box with a card sleeve wrapped around it detailing what was inside. The instructions were well written, although there were some grammatical errors here and there, it was more humorous than detrimental to the performance of setting up the device. Lastly, using the device is perfect. I placed an old macbook HDD for use as a backup with a newer mac. I have had enclosures that have their own built in backup software try to install immediately and this does not do that. No nonsense, straightforward, cost effective, and it is all wrapped in an attractive package that makes me rethink about products made in China.
